7 Questions on Wisdom

And knowing God’s Will

1.    Will it be helpful?

2.    Will it enslave me?

3.    Will it honor the Lord (1Cor)?

4.    Is it a stumbling block?

5.    Is it Doubtful?

6.    Will it cause me to love Jesus more or love the world more?

7.    Will it win the lost or keep them lost?

I wonder what would happen if we used this criteria for seeking what God wants from us everyday.

  1. Thanks for the questions! I’d just like to add one of my favorite Bible verses:

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” Proverbs 9:10

Having that reverent fear of the LORD is what I think leads us to question whether we are being obedient in our actions.

    • Thanks for the insight I agree! And think these verses would work with as well:
Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
Pro 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Pro 3:7 Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil.
Pro 3:8 It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.
